Are all BulletSafe warranties for 5 years?

Yes, all current BulletSafe offerings(*except for the VP4 vest carrier) are backed by a 5 year limited warranty against manufacturer defects.

Please be aware that this warranty does not protect against normal wear and tear or end user abuse as determined by BulletSafe's staff members.

All warranty claims can be verified with a legitimate proof of purchase; typically a standard receipt, although BulletSafe accepts bank statements or other alternatives in extenuating circumstances.

Warranty claims are handled via Return Authorization. To request a Warranty Return Authorization, please click "Submit a request"and fill out the appropriate information as prompted. From that point, BulletSafe staff will review your situation to ensure that your claim is in fact covered under warranty.

BulletSafe's warranty extends to the original owner; it is straightforward and comprehensive, and just part of the total BulletSafe ownership experience.

VP4 Bulletproof Vest Warranty: The VP4 Bulletproof Vest Carrier is limited to a 2 year warranty and the armor inside is under warranty for 5 years.

VP3 Bulletproof Vest Warranty: The VP3 Bulletproof Vest Carrier and armor are both covered by the warranty for 5 years

Ballistic Performance Guarantee: 

BulletSafe Guarantees Five Years of Ballistics Performance - Your BulletSafe Bulletproof Vest or BulletSafe Ballistic Plate is guaranteed to perform as designed for five years from its date of manufacture. The guarantee applies to all BulletSafe products and is backed by BulletSfaes $1Million Insurance Policy. BulletSafe vests have a five year lifespan. After the five year period is over, our vest should be considered expired and no guarantee of performance is implied or offered.

Quality and Workmanship: First Year of Ownership: Worry Free

With limited exceptions, if your BulletSafe product is damaged during the first twelve (12) months you own it including damage caused by wear and tear, attack, or other non-chemical damage, BulletSafe will repair your vest. If BulletSafe determines that the product is damaged beyond repair, we will replace it. If BulletSafe determines that a replacement product is not available, we will provide you with a product of comparable value. Damages not covered are damage resulting from abuse, cosmetic damage (such as stained fabrics), chemical damage, and incidental or consequential damages, such as damage to or loss of the contents of a bulletproof vest, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses.

Years Two through Five: You're Covered for Defects

From the second through the fifth year you own your BulletSafe product, BulletSafe will repair any items that are defective in materials or workmanship, including any structural defects (such as defective stitching or velcro defects). For years two through five, however, BulletSafe will not cover damage resulting from wear and tear that is not the result of defects in materials or workmanship. BulletSafe also will not cover damage caused by attack, fire, chemical spills, or other unusual damage. Other damages not covered are damage resulting from abuse, cosmetic damage (such as scratched or stained fabrics) and incidental or consequential damages, such as damage to or the contents of a bulletproof vest, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses.

Your only responsibility is to ship your bulletproof vest to us for repair (customer pays for shipping). If your bulletproof vest does need to be sent to our facility, BulletSafe will repair it quickly and ship it back at no additional cost to you. In those cases where our warranty does not apply, BulletSafe will promptly provide you with an estimate of any repair and return shipping costs that may be involved.

You Can Expect Years of Quality Service:

BulletSafe vests are very durable. Their 600 denier fabric can take a substantial amount of abuse. Still, accidents happen and your vest can become damaged outside of the terms of this warranty and many of these vests can be repaired. For these situations, BulletSafe offers courteous, responsive service and the highest quality repairs and refurbishment at reasonable cost. If BulletSafe is unable to repair the bulletproof vest, we will suggest alternative options. Order Confirmation:

As soon as you place your order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.  This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase.  Next, we automatically reach out to our suppliers to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment.  If your item is on back order or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via e-mail.  If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 1-3 business days), we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.

Order Shipment:

If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, most products will ship within 1-3 business days with a 2-4 business days transit time. We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.

Can I exchange a vest for a different size?

Yes, but only if it is still in new condition and within 30 days of your purchase. If you would like to exchange for a different size, the vest/plate must be returned in as-new condition (clean, dust-free, unworn, not covered in animal hair, doesn't smell like cologne).


Can I return a vest for a refund?

Yes, but only if the vest/plate is in new condition and you do it quickly. Returns are accepted if they are postmarked within 7 days of receipt. All returns are charged a 15% inspection/restocking fee. The vest must be returned in as-new condition (clean, dust-free, unworn, not covered in animal hair, doesn't smell like cologne).
